I became a strong advocate for the Web3 and NFT field because I believe we are witnessing breakthroughs in society, economy, and innovation. NFT is an innovation that tokenizes things with intrinsic or appreciative value on the blockchain, and has the potential for mass sharing.
Who is this framework for?
– Enthusiasts of NFT projects,
– Advocates for Web3/NFTs,
– Anyone interested in learning more about web3/NFT.
After being active in over 60 NFT project communities and investing over $100,000 in 1 month, I have summarized a scoring framework to better evaluate NFT projects.
Score = 20% (A) + 10% (T)+ 30% (C)+ 30% (U)+ 10% (S)
Here are some parts of it:
A = Art
T = Team
C = Community
U = Utility
S = Cultural significance
Each part (art, team, community, etc.) can be scored from 0 to 5. 0 represents poor appreciation while 5 indicates strong positive value. The sum of these scores is the part’s score.
Each part’s score has a weight applied based on its relevance and importance. The total score is determined by multiplying each part’s score by its weight.
After evaluating scores for each part, I will set weights for each part (which can be adjusted according to preference):
Art = 20%
Team = 10%
Community = 30%
Utility = 30%
Culture = 10%
Assuming the scores for each part are as follows:
A (Art) = 4
T (Team) = 3
C (Community) = 5
U (Utility) = 4
S (Culture) = 3
This will result in:
Total score = 20% x 4 + 10% x 3 + 30% x 5 + 30% x 4 + 10% x 3 = 0.8 + 0.3 + 1.5 + 1.2 + 0.3 = 4.2
I generally make selections when the total score is between 4 and 5. It is also important to track the performance of the project based on evaluation scores and the growth/decline of the collection’s floor price to make different adjustments to the scoring model.
