Poloniex Hacker, oxFd…Fdfd, Creates Havoc in the Crypto World
The crypto landscape is currently suffering from the actions of a notorious hacker known as oxFd…Fdfd. This individual has made a significant impact by moving 100 ETH, equivalent to approximately $308,000, to a Tornado Cash address. This marks the first instance of the hacker attempting to launder the stolen assets from the Poloniex exchange.
Colin Wu, a respected columnist, recently reported on the movements of the Poloniex scammer. Instead of directly depositing the stolen ETH into a regular Ethereum wallet, the hacker chose to transfer the funds to Tornado Cash. This deliberate decision to launder the assets showcases the evolving nature of the situation.
The initial hack on the Poloniex exchange, owned by Justin Sun, was a severe blow. The attackers employed a technique known as a “replay attack” to gain unauthorized access to customer deposits.
