As the player group of PixelTap, a Telegram-based game, grows, the cyberpunk-themed crypto game ecosystem Pixelverse is launching a token on the Telegram Open Network (TON).
PixelTap is a click-based combat game that allows you to earn coins in the game to upgrade the robots you bring into battle. During battles, you frantically tap on a part of the screen to attack your opponent’s robot, as well as perform special attacks and try to defend yourself.
But Pixelverse is more than just its Telegram game, it also offers a web-based mission fighter in the same universe. This game, called Pixelverse, is currently in its “early preview” stage, preparing for the alpha version.
Pixelverse states that it has accumulated 35 million players so far, with most of them seemingly playing PixelTap, as the Telegram gaming space expands.
The token of Pixelverse will be using the stock code PIXFI, with a total supply of 5 billion, crucial for the ecosystem. According to official documents, PIXFI will be used for transactions, crafting, and battles within Pixelverse.
Telegram’s link to the TON network is where the largest network of 3 gaming projects using the application resides. Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Catizen are all being built on the network, with Notcoin successfully launching NOT in May, becoming the largest gaming token of 2024.
In response to the announcement, Pixelverse said, “TON and Telegram are paving the way for mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, and we are excited to be part of this journey.”
