CoinDesk Reports:
Hamster Kombat has attracted 239 million users within 90 days, placing it at the forefront of the cryptocurrency and Web3 sectors. Meanwhile, contemporary Notcoin has fallen by 18.16%, though social dominance and sentiment remain positive.
A new Telegram-based game, “Hamster Kombat,” has swiftly gained popularity within the cryptocurrency and Web3 communities, becoming viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Success of Hamster Kombat
In just three months, the Telegram mini-app of Hamster Kombat has amassed approximately 239 million users. This exponential growth is unprecedented in the tech industry, establishing it as one of the most successful platforms of 2024.
Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, remarked in a recent Telegram post, “A new wave of mini-apps on Telegram is on the horizon, with Hamster Kombat currently leading the charge.” He further expanded on this topic, suggesting that the platform’s success reflects a trend where popular games earn tokens like Notcoin [NOT].
Notably, this rapid success led the team to apply for a Guinness World Record, becoming the first to garner over 10 million subscribers on a YouTube channel within a week.
Crypto YouTuber Ajay Kashyap echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Hamster Kombat breaks records.”
Considerations of Adverse Factors
However, not everything has been smooth sailing, as the company’s plans on the Toncoin [TON] blockchain appear to have been delayed.
Interestingly, despite the team disclosing the official launch date of their token, players have been able to link TON wallets within the game since June 2024.
Student advisor @i_jandor reiterated this point, noting, “When is Hamster launching? Delays becoming increasingly apparent.”
Association with Notcoin?
Similar to Notcoin, Hamster Kombat offers users the opportunity to earn coins using Telegram mini-apps, making gaming as simple as opening a chat.
During a recent live broadcast, the team behind Hamster Kombat acknowledged Notcoin’s impact on their success. They emphasized how leveraging Telegram’s robust social features significantly propelled the game’s rapid popularity.
However, despite Hamster Kombat’s success, NOT has seen a decline, dropping by 18.16% in the past 24 hours.
Nevertheless, an analysis of NOT’s Santiment data by AMBCrypto indicates an increase in social dominance, volume, and positive sentiment.
