Update of 21Shares S1 Spot Ethereum ETF Filing

As the investment product approaches, 21Shares has officially submitted an updated S-1 form for its spot Ethereum ETF. This cryptocurrency investment company is the second issuer to take this measure following the latest S-1 submitted earlier today by asset management company VanEck.
Now, all eyes are on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The amended filing has led many experts to predict that an ETH ETF will be launched at some point within the next two weeks. Furthermore, the market expects all issuers to follow suit and submit their latest filings, just like 21Shares and VanEck.

21Shares is the second issuer to submit an updated S-1 for an ETH ETF
In 2024, two cryptocurrency-based ETFs received approval, marking a milestone year for the cryptocurrency market. Now, as the second one is set to officially launch, 21Shares has become the second potential issuer to submit an updated S-1 form for its spot Ethereum ETF.
The company follows the footsteps of VanEck, which modified its filing earlier today. Additionally, Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted that he expects everyone to follow suit, except for Bitwise, who submitted their filing last week. Now, Balchunas says the ball is “back in the court of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.”

ETF expert Nate Geraci pointed out that the updated filing has changed the timeline for the launch of ETH products. The co-founder of ETF Research Institute predicts that these products will be launched on July 15. Subsequently, he noted that the SEC may approve the most recent applications within the next one to two weeks.
This expectation has already had an impact on Ethereum. The asset broke through the $3,000 mark earlier today. Furthermore, according to CoinMarketCap data, the token’s trading volume surged by 116% today. The arrival of a spot ETH ETF is expected to bring a significant rebound for this asset.
