CoinWorld reported:
American rapper Doja Cat has joined the ranks of celebrities whose Twitter accounts have been hacked to promote a Solana-based meme coin. She quickly took to Instagram to announce to her 24 million followers that she is not responsible for these posts.
Doja Cat’s account started posting encrypted content on Twitter at 7:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday. The first post linked to a holding address and pleaded with users to “buy $Doja or others.”
The hacker has posted over twenty times and removed Doja Cat’s profile pictures and descriptions from her account, which has approximately 5.6 million followers.

Twitter users quickly flagged these tweets as the result of a hacked account.
The hacker has also posted messages from other celebrities, including Iggy Azalea, who apparently endorsed the cryptocurrency and frequently tweets about her $MOTHER meme coin and crypto tweets.
As a response to the Doja Cat hack, Azalea tweeted, “Get well soon if you’re sick enough to hack someone but cool enough to do it in real life, hackers.”
According to blockchain records and market data, the activity of the new $DOJA token on Solana’s Raydium seems relatively weak compared to previous incidents, with less than 15,000 transactions generating around $2.2 million in trading volume.
This is the latest incident involving the hacking of social media accounts of celebrities, who typically have tens of millions of followers, and involves meme coins based on Solana.
Last month, former wrestler Hulk Hogan’s Twitter account was compromised to promote a similar scam. This was followed by the hacking of rapper 50 Cent’s account, and a week later, Metallica’s account was also hacked.
