Coin World Report:
The first season of Hamster Kombat has officially concluded. Since its launch in March 2024, it has attracted over 300 million users.
On September 26, 131 million players were eligible for the airdrop, with 60% of the allocation being distributed immediately.
600 billion tokens are about to be issued.
The Hamster Kombat team announced this on September 22nd.
Delivery
They stated that out of the 100 billion available HMSTR tokens, 75 billion are reserved for the community.
Among them, 60 billion will be available for distribution after the end of the first season of the game, with users receiving slightly more than 53 billion tokens during the airdrop.
According to the post, the team will be granted the remaining 6.75 billion tokens, which will be unlocked ten months after HMSTR is listed. Additionally, the team noted that it will airdrop an additional 15% of the tokens allocated to the community during the second season of the game.
Although the airdrop is scheduled for September 26th, it is worth noting that over 30 million users have not yet chosen a method to claim their tokens. However, these players have been assured that they can still apply for the allocation.
Users question disqualification
After the announcement by Hamster Kombat, several users expressed dissatisfaction with the way this season ended. One of the biggest controversies revolves around the announcement that the game, based on Telegram clicks, disqualified approximately 2.3 million players suspected of cheating.
Although the post did not explain the mechanism used to check those suspected of playing the system, it caught many active participants off guard, including players who claimed to have spent months farming keys and accumulating rewards.
Several such users expressed frustration on social media after the announcement, questioning the harsh punishment they believed they received. Web3 analyst Crypto Pioneer
is also being questioned.
Why the only criterion for excluding active users was “key generation bots”
Critics claim that despite many accounts being warned, they were not permanently banned. It has been reported that many of them received achievement badges saying “cheating is bad,” but no information about its impact on the final token distribution was provided.
Others, like cryptocurrency educator Crypto with Khan,
argue
that while regular players strive to build their points per hour (PPH) metric, the token distribution heavily favors referrals and influencers.
At the time of writing, Hamster Kombat has yet to respond to any accusations against it; the game is currently in “intermission.” This phase allows players to earn additional rewards, particularly diamonds, which are said to play a significant role in the next stage of the game.
Although HMSTR is not yet listed, it has a futures contract trading on OKX
at $0.009279.
The price has plummeted nearly 95% in a month, with the contract reaching a high of $0.010 at one point.
