With the rapid development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) systems, concerns about the dominance of a limited group in centralized artificial intelligence have escalated, posing significant risks. The Open AGI Summit aims to gather outstanding artificial intelligence and blockchain professionals to discuss open governance models through blockchain, in order to achieve a more secure, transparent, and public interest-oriented AGI development.
Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon and Senient, highlighted the key intersection between humans and centralized artificial intelligence, advocating for an open world achieved through blockchain to ensure transparency and fairness, rather than a closed world dominated by large corporations: “The rapid acceleration of centralized artificial intelligence and its integration into daily life have put humanity at a crossroads between two future worlds. On one hand, we can choose the closed world, controlled by a few closed-source code models operated by large companies. On the other hand, we can choose the open world, where models default to open source, reasoning is verifiable, and value flows back to stakeholders. The open world is the world we want to live in, but it is only possible through blockchain to make artificial intelligence more transparent and fair.”
