CoinDesk reports:
The Overwatch-style shooting game BloodRoop launched the “Play to Airdrop” event at the Epic Games Store on PC.
The 5v5 hero shooting game is now available for purchase through the Epic Games Store, making the avalanche-based game stand out among the user base of 75 million monthly active players. In order to increase its visibility and reward early players who test the game, the project has launched the first season of the “Play to Airdrop” event.
Players can now log into BloodRoop to complete daily and weekly missions and earn points. These points will then place the user in a rank, and at the end of the event, this rank will be related to the amount of tokens the player will airdrop.
Players may be eager to log into BloodRoop servers, but they are not always real-time. BloodRoop’s servers will run from UTC 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until June 30th.
Nyan Heroes deployed a similar strategy as early as March when it was launched on the Epic Games Store. It is reported that this move helped the game enter the top 30 of the store, with over 200,000 downloads. Similarly, the shooter pellet injected with cryptocurrency can only be played during certain windows in the early access period.
BloodRoop announced its “Play to Airdrop” event on March 4th, and finally launched the avalanche token on June 10th.
An official tweet wrote: “Millions of BLS have been reserved as rewards and will be dynamically allocated among them based on their performance.” “It’s not about how much time you spend farming, but how much progress you make in the game within the available time.”
