CoinWorld reported:
Modular data network Celestia announced the upcoming Ginger update, which is scheduled to be launched in November 2024. This major update aims to simplify network performance by reducing the blocking time from 12 seconds to just 6 seconds. It is expected that this adjustment will improve transaction throughput and speed, forming a more efficient operational framework.
What changes will the Ginger update bring?
The Ginger update will significantly improve data accessibility within the network, allowing users and developers to execute transactions more flexibly. In addition, this update introduces a 2 MiB transaction size limit, as well as specific restrictions on PayForBlobs (PFB) and non-PFB messages within each block.
How will the technical capabilities be enhanced?
This update will also implement default BBR (Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-trip propagation time) congestion control, improving the efficiency of large data transmission across peer-to-peer networks. The transaction verification process will also be improved, enhancing the overall capability of the network in processing transactions.
The Ginger update will reduce blocking time, doubling transaction speed.
The new restrictions on message types aim to improve data processing efficiency.
It is expected that the technical upgrade will significantly increase the price of TIA.
The Ginger update is an important milestone for Celestia, aligning with its mission to optimize network performance and attract a wider user base. Through an enhanced technical framework, it aims to expand its appeal among developers and existing users, laying the foundation for future growth.
