In the meantime, experts in the field of ETFs are in agreement that the approval of Bitcoin ETFs by the SEC is not imminent. Anthony Sassano, a strong advocate for Ethereum, remains optimistic and believes that the regulatory body will grant approval for the funds before VanEck’s deadline.
Sassano further explained that the SEC had already given the green light to Ethereum future ETF products a year ago. Therefore, it made sense to assume that the yet-to-be-approved Bitcoin ETF applicants would also be able to engage in discussions with the SEC. This assumption turned into reality when these three entities met with the SEC on March 9, 2023.
