Coin World News Report:
On Thursday, Nvidia announced that it will provide advanced artificial intelligence processors to Indian companies, including Reliance Industries owned by Mukesh Ambani.
This announcement reflects Nvidia’s goal of expanding the artificial intelligence industry in India.
Currently, Reliance is building a 1-gigawatt data center in Gujarat to deploy Nvidia Blackwell AI processors. The CEO of the chip manufacturer and Ambani confirmed this at an artificial intelligence summit held in Mumbai.
On the other hand, Nvidia also plans to deliver a large number of Hopper AI chips to major data centers. This specifically indicates that Yotta Data Services and Tata Communications are leading companies in this partnership.
The CEO of Nvidia stated, “India will become a country that exports artificial intelligence.”
Huang said that India has the potential to become an international exporter of artificial intelligence. He emphasized several reasons for his expectations, including the country’s large population, low-cost internet access, and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
He said, “India will become a country that exports artificial intelligence,” reflecting India’s transition from software outsourcing to artificial intelligence production.
India has been focusing on artificial intelligence models to customize different languages that exist in different races in the country. Both startups and large companies have this preference.
Nvidia plans to collaborate with more IT companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro.
Nvidia revealed that Tech Mahindra, an Indian company that provides IT services, is the first company to use its Hindi model, focusing on a customized system called Indus 2.0.
Indus 2.0 aims to assist Hindi and its different dialects. The goal of this model is to attract India’s huge consumer market by using artificial intelligence applications for customer service and content translation.
Nvidia is going beyond Tech Mahindra and collaborating with more IT companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro. This collaboration involves training 500,000 developers to create artificial intelligence agents.
In addition, Reliance and Ola Electric are ready to use “Omniverse.” This is Nvidia’s simulation technology that can help test and optimize factory plans.
Currently, India does not have enough resources to manufacture semiconductors.
However, despite its focus on artificial intelligence and semiconductors, India still faces challenges. China has invested a large amount of money in the field of artificial intelligence. The government has launched a $1.25 billion investment to support AI-centered startups and projects. Nevertheless, India is still in the early stages of semiconductor manufacturing.
Chip manufacturing factories are a complex process that requires skilled labor and years of work. In addition, India has not yet produced domestically manufactured chips.
Huang said that India currently accounts for only a small part of Nvidia’s capital. However, the company remains hopeful and will not overlook the potential of the region in artificial intelligence and semiconductor development.
